Boost TA celebrates arrival of first modular units at Lings Park development

The first units, including those which will form a community hub, management office and other facilities, left the manufacturing facility on Monday 27thJuly and were delivered on site in Weston Favell less than 24 hours later.
Working with specialist UK based logistics firm Modular Movements Ltd, the factory-built units were transported using a fleet of vehicles purpose-designed to carry modular buildings, allowing for a streamlined efficiency in line with Boost’s approach to providing modular accommodation options with the shortest possible lead times.
Boost co-founder Giles Donovan said: “Our approach is to provide a practical, long-term solution, delivering high-quality, sustainable homes quickly and efficiently. By using modern methods of construction and working collaboratively with our partners, we can rapidly create places that offer residents facing homelessness a safe and comfortable temporary home, while delivering real value for local authorities.
“Transportation and installation in this first phase at Lings Park were completed with impressive speed, bringing the project to life in a matter of hours. We are very much looking forward to the delivery of the two bed apartments later this month.”
Boost will deliver 38 purpose-built two-bedroom apartments fitted with solar panels and battery storage to reduce reliance on grid electricity, improve energy efficiency and lower long-term operating costs.
The scheme is the first of two developments being delivered by Boost for West Northamptonshire Council and represents a significant milestone in the company’s work with local authorities to provide enhanced temporary accommodation solutions.
